Surface Water Expert at Ontario

Contribute to Ontario’s ecological future as a Surface Water Specialist. Manage and protect water resources through evaluation, investigation, and strategic recommendations for environmental compliance and conservation.

In this important role on the regional technical support team, you will bring your expertise in surface water quality and quantity to conserve and manage vital resources. Your specialized knowledge will assist with hydrological assessments, spill investigations, and field investigations to support ministry water resources goals. By fostering sustainable practices, you’ll help enhance ecosystem health and community resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in surface water quality and quantity

• Recommend strategies for protecting water resources

• Evaluate hydrological and ecological impacts of activities

• Investigate surface water spills and contamination

• Develop field investigations for water resource management

Requirements:

• Degree in Biology, Hydrology, Chemistry, or Water Resources

• Valid class G driver's license or equivalent

• Experience in surface water management principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and project management skills
