We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer with a strong background in installation and maintenance of laser systems. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in field service roles, specifically supporting photonics systems and capital equipment. You will collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues and document service activities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and commission IPG laser systems across various sites
• Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated laser and photonics systems
• Document service actions and provide feedback for product enhancements
• Support customers during critical downtime events
• Mentor junior field service technicians as required
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years field service experience with lasers
• Proven troubleshooting of complex system-level issues
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 80% for customer support
