Currently, we are seeking an Electrical Automation Engineer to join the team.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Automation Engineer to support plant operations, automation systems, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize equipment performance, enhance system reliability, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs and HMI systemsSupport installation, commissioning, and testing of manufacturing equipmentLead and coordinate automation and electrical projects, including contractorsDevelop and improve preventive maintenance proceduresMaintain electrical control systems and instrumentation management processesTroubleshoot technical issues and conduct root cause analysisCollaborate cross-functionally to improve equipment reliability and performanceIdentify and implement energy efficiency and cost optimization initiativesAnalyze production data to support continuous improvement effortsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with electrical equipment, automation, and instrumentationStrong experience with PLC programming and HMI systemsKnowledge of power distribution systems (transformers, switchgear, UPS)Experience with VFDs, valves, pumps, conveyors, and industrial equipmentProficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/CMMS experience is an assetStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environmentExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong time management and organizational abilitiesWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesWorking Conditions
Monday to Friday, standard office hours (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)Occasional flexibility required for evenings/weekends due to operational needsFully onsite role in Kingston, ONCompensation & Benefits
