Join a leading Oil and Gas company in Kingston, ON as a Permit Writer, ensuring compliance and safety for maintenance and operational work. Your expertise in Permit to Work (PTW) activities will be vital in coordinating safe execution across various projects.
This one-year contract role requires a Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial environment. You will be responsible for developing permits, conducting risk assessments, and engaging with contractors and teams to ensure effective communication of hazards and controls. Strong attention to detail and coordination skills are crucial for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and prepare PTW for all work activities
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and Risk Assessments
• Monitor compliance and execute pre-job discussions
• Oversee work activities ensuring safety and permit adherence
• Coordinate with Permit Issuers on any changes
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience in industrial settings
• Knowledge of LOTO, Hot Work, and safety practices
• Strong communication abilities
• Proficiency in digital permitting systems
• Attention to detail and hazard assessment skills
