As part of Trans Alta's team, you will contribute to our mission of power generation while ensuring the reliability and performance of thermal and gas-fired power plants. This intermediate to senior level position requires you to utilize your skills in maintenance planning, equipment evaluation, and project management. Your impact on both safety and operational reliability is paramount in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement maintenance plans for power generation equipment
• Lead small to medium mechanical and multi-discipline projects
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues effectively
• Write and review procurement specifications for equipment
• Supervise contractors for compliance and quality
Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
Professional Engineer registration is preferred
• 4-6 years of experience in power generation or related industry
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of large rotating equipment
• Familiarity with industry standards and drawing specifications
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license for site travels
