Electrical Engineering Technologist at Utilities

In this role, you will prepare designs, cost estimates, and plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You'll play a vital part in expanding customer connections and ensuring system reliability. With over three years of experience in electrical distribution design, you'll contribute to projects that support city load growth and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare designs and estimates for electric distribution projects
• Review site plans for integration with distribution systems
• Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with standards
• Model electrical impacts for proposed customer connections
• Administer contracts and liaise with stakeholders on projects
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in distribution system design
• Engineering Technology diploma or Engineering Degree
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and SPIDAcalc
• Registered or pursuing CET designation
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
