Mobility Service Technician - Kingston

Purpose
The Mobility Service Technician provides exceptional customer service while completing service and installation calls to clients. They ensure that any customer concerns or product issues are investigated and documented appropriately.

Job Responsibilities
Complete all service calls assigned by Dispatch and notify customer one hour before estimated arrival.
Diagnose customer equipment and determine proper solution.
Document all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records as necessary.
Address customer concerns and investigate problematic orders/returns to ensure appropriate resolution (and repossession if required).
Gather all component details for parts to be ordered from the manufacturer and provide a subsequent quote to the customer.
Provide 24/7 on‑call emergency service as part of a rotational schedule.
Ensure inventory present in staff‑assigned vehicle bin is secured at all times.
Update job knowledge by participating in various service‑department educational and certification in‑services.
Operate vehicle safely and follow all service‑department Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
Ensure service vehicle and work areas are kept clean and organized.
Answer any customer service‑related queries in‑store, by phone, via fax or email if required.
Qualifications
Full driver’s licence in the province of practice and a clean driver’s abstract.
1–3 years of experience in a customer service role (essential).
1–3 years of field technical experience in a relevant industry (asset).
Understanding of the sales process (beneficial).
Health and safety training (asset).
Industry experience (asset).
Inventory management training (asset).
Demonstrated customer service excellence.
Background check required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
Ability to work proficiently within a team environment and independently.
Ability to remain organized and prioritize workloads.
Technical aptitude (required).
Required training upon start: A&AODA Accessibility & AODA Acknowledgement (within 30 days), DP‑2 Warehouse Receivers , EO‑2 Quality & Regulatory Training (Phase 2) , EO‑1 General Orientation (Phase 1) , WHMIS 2015 , and WPVH Workplace Violence & Harassment (all within 30 days).
