Data Quality & Maintenance Planning Specialist (Naval/Defense – ERP Systems)
Location: Full Remote (Canada)
Clearance Required: Canadian Controlled Goods & Reliability (must be eligible)
About the Role
ALTEN Canada is seeking a Data Quality & Maintenance Planning Specialist to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data within a customized ERP system used for naval maintenance operations .
In this role, the successful candidate will assess, validate, and correct data to improve maintenance planning, operational readiness, and system integrity for critical defense assets. Your expertise in ERP systems (particularly SAP PM or maintenance modules), data analysis, and naval/defense maintenance processes will drive improvements in data quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Data Assessment & Validation:
- Conduct detailed audits of ERP system data to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or inaccuracies.
- Develop comprehensive reports documenting findings and proposed corrections.
Data Correction & System Integration:
- Perform data cleanup and validation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Support ongoing data integration to align with operational requirements.
Risk Mitigation & Process Improvement:
- Identify potential risks in maintenance data and recommend process enhancements .
- Document lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in ERP systems (SAP PM or maintenance-related modules) .
- Strong data analysis, validation, and problem-solving skills .
- Knowledge of maintenance planning in a naval or defense environment .
- Ability to produce detailed reports and communicate technical findings clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with naval operational processes .
- Experience in risk assessment and process optimization .
