What You'll Accomplish- Promote safety culture through engagement with employees, subcontractors, and suppliers, with the goal of zero safety incidents.
- Administer and promote safety policies, processes, and review procedures to ensure the site meets or exceeds Amrize and regulatory guidelines.
- Report and manage environmental spills as they occur and operate equipment effectively to minimize the carbon footprint of machinery.
- Ensure equipment is operated according to original equipment manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
- Schedule and complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance inspections.
- Perform adjustments and cleanup on equipment to ensure it runs efficiently, and perform repairs as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks to ensure the site is presentable.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas; promote a culture of safety.
- Education: A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required
- Required
Work Experience:
Experience in industrial plant operation and/or maintenance, and heavy equipment operation is an asset - Required Technical
Skills:
Mechanical aptitude, extensive manual labor, and specific mobile equipment training; training in First Aid, WHMIS, Surface Miner, Confined Space, and Working-at-heights is also required - Travel Requirements: Travel is required as the plant moves
- Additional Requirements: Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved PPE, including respirators; employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests
