Housekeeping Aide Arbour Heights

Responsibilities

• Mixing solutions for nursing and housekeeping staff, delivering supplies, removal of garbage, stripping floors as required, cleaning windows and lights, sweeping and scrubbing areas such as janitor's closet, service entrance, laundry room, dining rooms, and elevators, performing heavy housekeeping duties and small repairs.
• Performing outside work such as removing snow, and sanding or salting as required.
• Adhering to established department policies and procedures regarding quality management, safety, environment and infection control.
• Cooperating with other departments in tasks such as transferring residents, moving and storing supplies, and moving furniture and equipment.
• Participating in committee meetings such as infection control, quality management and safety, as required.
• Maintaining required records and information as directed.

• Extensive standing and walking.
• Moving equipment.
• Considerable reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders.
• May be exposed to hazards from use of tools and power equipment.
• Exposure to biochemical substances and weather conditions.

• Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions.

Compensation: $18.31 - $19.50
