Extendicare is seeking a Housekeeping Aide for a part-time, casual position focused on cleanliness and hygiene in resident homes. This role involves a range of essential cleaning duties.
As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a critical role in providing a clean and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will encompass vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing various areas, along with spot cleaning and garbage collection. You may also engage in deeper cleaning activities to uphold cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sanitize and disinfect resident living spaces
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors thoroughly
• Spot clean surfaces, including walls and windows
• Manage the removal of waste and recyclables
• Assist with heavy cleaning tasks when necessary
Requirements:
• Some experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred
• Physical capacity for lifting and moving as needed
• Keen attention to detail in cleaning tasks
• Availability for part-time, flexible hours
• Dedication to a clean and safe environment
