Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance, Facility Maintenance

Salary Range: $19.85 To $20.10 Hourly

The Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is a 128-room hotel, owned and operated by Easton's Group of Hotels. Located just off the 401 hwy, it features 2 meeting rooms, the Bistro restaurant and a heated pool with a 100-ft water slide.

• Performing general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
• Completing minor work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen, and laundry equipment, etc.
• Monitoring the efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guests’ entrance/access doors, television sets, and lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure proper operation and maximum efficiency.
• Maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool, and exercise/sports facilities (including property signs and lighting)
• Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Performing functions with minimal supervision.

• Basic reading, writing and math abilities.
• 1+ year(s) of general building maintenance and repair experience. Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training preferred.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools.
