Temporary Arena Operator

Join the City of Kingston as a Temporary Arena Operator for up to 6 months. Focus on ice maintenance, facility management, and customer service in this part-time role.

We are seeking six Temporary Arena Operators to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our recreation facilities. You'll be responsible for ice installation and removal, general maintenance, and monitoring building systems. Additionally, you'll provide excellent customer service to users while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage ice installation and maintenance tasks

• Conduct general arena upkeep and repairs

• Monitor refrigeration plant and building systems

• Provide customer service to facility users

• Perform winter maintenance like snow removal

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum one year of recreation facility experience

• Certification in First Aid and AED within 60 days

• Valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license

• Ability to operate arena maintenance equipment
