Assembler, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Assembler – Kingston Operations Site  We are looking for a full‑time Assembler to join our Kingston operations site.

Key Responsibilities   Capable of operating welding equipment and hand tools; extensive knowledge of material properties and welding processes.
Read and interpret blueprints or work instructions, set up jigs and fixtures, and understand welding symbols and sequences.
Use a variety of hand and power tools safely.
Perform production tasks including assembly of train components onto the train car body (e.g., sidewall panel fastening and drilling).
Install internal sub‑assembled components onto the train car body.
Comply with EH&S rules and safe working procedures at all times.
Clean and maintain working areas and production equipment.
Qualifications & Experience   Experience as an operator in electronics, electrical, or mechanical settings within an industrial environment.
Ability to set up production equipment: workstation, test benches, inspection tools, and warehouse equipment.
Respect task time and quality level assigned by operating instructions, methods process, and MRP routing.
Identify parts as required by operating instructions prior to installation.
Monitor the production process and perform basic testing and quality checks.
Handle and store goods and raw materials in the factory or warehouse.
Physical Demands  Work outside in all weather conditions, work at heights, and shift work flexibility are required.
