Haakon Industries, a global leader in custom-designed and manufactured HVAC units, is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Finisher in the Finishing Department. This team is responsible for preparing air handling units for shipment to customers, ensuring that all components are installed, tested, and secured for safe transport.

Your Responsibilities

Physical Labour:  Engage in demanding physical tasks to support production activities

Physical Activity:  Stand, walk, crawl, lift, and carry heavy items as required to support production

Blueprint Reading:  Accurately read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication and assembly processes

Measurement:  Use measuring tools to perform mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals, to ensure precision

Tool Use:  Operate air and electric tools efficiently to complete tasks effectively Working at Heights:  Work comfortably from heights and ladders to perform necessary duties

Independent Work:  Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals

Team

Collaboration:

Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills

Material Handling:  Use overhead cranes to load units onto trucks and transport materials safely

Unit Testing:  Conduct unit pressure testing, deflection testing, flow testing, and leak and sound tests to ensure quality

Component Installation:  Install door seals, viewports, handles, and other components to prepare units for shipment

Packaging & Shipment:  Wrap HVAC units in protective plastic to prepare them for shipping

Wage Range

$21.80-$30.00/based on experience

Construction 1 year (Preferred)

Skilled Labour 1 year (Required)

Job Location

Kingston, ON (on-site)

Shifts

Rotating early morning and afternoon shifts (Monday – Friday 5:45am - 2:15pm and Monday – Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am)

Every other Friday off

Weekend shifts not required (occasional overtime is not mandatory and is dependent on factory needs)
