Basic Function and Scope:

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing services to patients/residents based on the standards of practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC).

Hours of Work:

Rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, and weekends), as required.

Pay Rate:

$40.24-$57.68

• Education
• Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program;
• Completed Perioperative Nursing Certification;
• CNA Certification in Perioperative Nursing, preferred;
• Current B.C.L.S Certification;
• Current A.C.L.S. Certification;
• Coronary Care Part One;
• Post Anesthetic Nursing Course, preferred
• Registration
• Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Experience
• Recent and related Operating Room experience (within last 2 years) including the roles of circulating, scrub and PACU.
• Required Skills
• Demonstrate commitment to continuing education;
• Proven ability to function in critical situations;
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills;
• Demonstrated commitment to organizational improvement;
• Knowledge of and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
• Must have annual review education completed;
• Must have previous proven good performance and attendance record
