The Nurse Practitioner is an integral part of the Kingston General Hospital team, working full-time in a temporary position. With a strong emphasis on autonomy, this role emphasizes diagnosing, ordering tests, and prescribing medications to deliver excellent patient care. Additionally, the NP will collaborate with an interprofessional team to enhance treatment and promote wellness in patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive oncology care to patients and families
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests within the practice scope
• Develop and implement evidence-based clinical practices
• Mentor and educate nursing staff and nursing students
• Collaborate in interprofessional care team discussions
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 3 years in nursing with oncology experience
• Master’s degree in nursing or relevant field
• Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
