Location: brockville
Make a difference in mental health care as a Registered Practical Nurse with flexible scheduling. Engage with patients across various hospital units as needed.
In this part-time role, you will join a nursing resource team supporting mental health recovery. A diploma in Practical Nursing and registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario are required. You’ll utilize your skills to assess, educate, and develop therapeutic relationships with patients while functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Float to various units providing direct patient care
• Conduct assessments and administer medications
• Foster therapeutic relationships with patients
• Ensure safety through proper techniques and procedures
• Record patient progress and maintain documentation
Requirements:
• Diploma in Practical Nursing required
• Current registration with the College of Nurses
• CPR/AED certification required within 2 years
• Preference for background in psychiatric/mental health
• Strong English skills and basic computer proficiency
