Provide essential foot care services as a Casual Foot Care Registered Nurse at the Brockville Mental Health Centre. Focus on comprehensive assessments and care for patients, especially with diabetes.
In this role, you will assess patients' feet, develop personalized care plans, and deliver therapeutic services including nail care and wound treatment. Collaboration with healthcare professionals is key, along with educating patients on preventive care and hygiene practices. Your expertise will significantly contribute to patients' well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed foot assessments to identify health issues
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to patients' needs
• Manage wound care procedures and track patient recovery
• Provide education on foot care techniques and hygiene
• Ensure all patient documentation is accurate and current
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Knowledge of foot care and infection control
• Current CPR certification is mandatory
