At Providence Care Hospital, RPNs play a vital role on the inter-professional team, providing effective care in a non-acute setting. You will evaluate patient health status, assist in managing clinical conditions, and advocate for caregivers. Your responsibilities will include coordinating therapeutic and rehabilitative aspects of care while ensuring all hospital policies and nursing standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver safe and effective patient care based on established protocols
• Assist in evaluating health status of patients with complex care needs
• Establish care priorities focusing on preventive and therapeutic measures
• Advocate for patients and respect caregiver input
• Modify care plans based on patient responses and professional judgment
Requirements:
• Active license from College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR certification
• College certificate required; diploma preferred
• Medication Certificate issued post-1985 if graduated earlier
• Knowledge of nursing standards and practices in Ontario
