This part-time Registered Nurse role involves working closely with the Inpatient Oncology Manager and transplant teams. You will coordinate outpatient appointment planning, administer crucial treatments, and educate patients and families on care practices. Emphasizing patient engagement and safety, your contributions will support the overall mission of Kingston General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan outpatient appointments and stem cell treatments
• Provide clinical care including chemotherapy and stem cell transfusions
• Monitor patient status before and after transplant
• Educate patients, families, and staff on care procedures
• Ensure compliance with health safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
• Registration eligible with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Baccalaureate in Nursing required
• Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course certification
• 2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
