Location: Brockville
Empower mental health recovery as a Registered Practical Nurse at Brockville Mental Health Centre. This part-time position focuses on comprehensive patient care in a collaborative secure treatment setting.
The Royal is hiring a temporary part-time Registered Practical Nurse for the Secure Treatment Unit. Emphasizing recovery-oriented care, you will work varied shifts, including days and weekends. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing medications, and facilitating therapeutic interactions aimed at rehabilitation and reintegration of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient-centered nursing care based on individual assessments
• Administer medications and conduct vital signs checks
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients to aid recovery
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Complete required training and remain updated on best practices
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized Practical Nursing Diploma Program
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Familiarity with mental health legislation and nursing standards
• Current CPR/AED certification required
• Desired experience in psychiatric nursing
