Occupational Health Nurse at KHSC

Elevate your nursing career as an Occupational Health Nurse at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. This full-time position focuses on promoting staff health and managing workplace injuries and illnesses.
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will provide expert clinical consultation while engaging with internal stakeholders and external partners like physicians and WSIB. You will manage a variety of health concerns, ensuring compliance with legislation and KHSC policies. Your responsibilities will also include conducting assessments and leading disability management initiatives, all aimed at enhancing workplace health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage physical and mental health concerns of staff

• Conduct workplace injury and illness assessments

• Lead disability management and accommodation planning

• Administer immunizations and health surveillance programs

• Promote healthy workplace initiatives through education
Requirements:

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum 5 years Occupational Health Nursing experience

• Experience in a unionized healthcare setting

• Post-graduate education in Occupational Health Nursing

• COHN-C designation considered an asset
