As a Nurse Practitioner, you will operate with a high level of autonomy to diagnose, manage acute illnesses, and promote wellness in oncology. Your collaboration with interprofessional teams will be essential for optimizing patient outcomes. You are also expected to uphold evidence-based practices and contribute to nursing education while engaging in research that enhances patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive clinical care to oncology patients
• Diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests autonomously
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams for optimal patient care
• Participate in nursing education and mentorship
• Lead evidence-based quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
• 3+ years of nursing experience in oncology
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required within 6 months
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
