Specialized Nurse in Wound and Ostomy Care

As a key member of the Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) Team, you will provide specialized care for individuals and families facing complex ostomy and wound issues. You'll work closely with an interprofessional team, utilizing your expertise to develop comprehensive care plans while delivering education and mentorship to enhance team knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform holistic assessments for wound, ostomy, and continence concerns
• Collaborate with the team to create individualized care plans
• Evaluate care plans and involve resource nurses as needed
• Educate and mentor team members on best practices
• Consult and provide guidance to care providers within SE Health
Requirements:
• Completion of NSWOCC WOC-EP program
• Active membership in NSWOC Canada preferred
• Registered Nurse with College of Nurses of Ontario certificate
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
