As a Registered Practical Nurse at Providence Care, you will deliver direct nursing care, focusing on patients with mental health needs. This role involves collaboration with Registered Nurses and a clinical team to assess and develop care plans that meet individual patient goals. You will draw on your expertise from an acute psychiatric setting to make a significant impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete comprehensive nursing histories for patients
• Develop goal-oriented nursing care plans with patients
• Perform nursing interventions and manage outcomes
• Follow prescribed medical regimes accurately
• Reassess and revise care plans based on evaluations
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent experience in an acute psychiatric setting
• Current CPR certification
• Strong judgment and professional decision-making skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care
