A diploma in Practical Nursing and current Ontario registration are required. This role emphasizes vital skills such as patient assessment, medication administration, and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate patient care in a secure setting
• Perform vital signs and physical assessments
• Administer injections and medication as needed
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
• Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients
Requirements:
• Graduate from a Practical Nursing diploma program
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• CPR/AED Certification within the last two years
• Two years of experience in psychiatric nursing is advantageous
• Basic proficiency in computer systems
