In the role of Registered Nurse (0.5 FTE), you will work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, within the Forensic Treatment Unit. This position requires up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation and psychiatric nursing practices, enabling you to deliver high-quality care to patients who require specialized support in legal settings. Your contributions are crucial in aiding individuals' recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat patients with mental health issues
• Participate in an interdisciplinary team approach
• Document patient progress and care plans clearly
• Deliver compassionate care and support
• Meet the standards set by the College of Nurses
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Less than 3 months of nursing experience required
• CPR certification must be current
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Understanding of mental health-related physical complications
