The Royal is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (0.5 FTE) in Brockville, Ontario. This role calls for nurses with up to three months of experience who are knowledgeable about mental health and addiction issues. You will provide patient care that aligns with legal standards, ensuring effective recovery strategies are implemented in the treatment of forensic patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver specialized nursing care in the Forensic Unit
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance standards
• Educate patients and families on mental health issues
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Knowledge of mental health legislation and practices
• CPR certification within the last 12 months
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Sensitivity to diverse populations and issues
