Part-Time Nurse in Forensic Psychiatry

As a part-time Registered Nurse (0.5 FTE) at The Royal, you will be instrumental in delivering specialized care to forensic patients in Brockville. The role requires a commitment to understanding complex mental health issues and the ability to provide effective nursing interventions. You will also ensure compliance with best practices and mental health legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support patient care in forensic settings

• Facilitate interdisciplinary treatment plan development

• Document patient interactions and treatment progress

• Provide education and resources to patients

• Support mental health assessments and interventions

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Up to 3 months of nursing experience required

• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing standards

• Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities

• CPR certification valid in the last 12 months
