Become part of the IIPCT Clinic team as a Registered Practical Nurse, dedicated to promoting health and wellness through an Indigenous lens. This 6-month contract emphasizes a holistic approach in client care.
As a nurse, you will engage with a multidisciplinary team to address health determinants impacting clients.
Your role will include conducting assessments, providing health education, and advocating for clients' access to traditional and modern health services.
Experience with Indigenous populations and foot care services for diabetes management will be crucial to your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute thorough health assessments and clinical duties
• Support clients in accessing both traditional and western health care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Deliver health education and counseling to individuals and families
• Focus on preventive foot health for diabetic clients
Requirements:
• Diploma in Nursing and registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Clear vulnerable sector check and driver's license
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
