Position: Security Shift Lead – Full‑Time – Brockville General Hospital (75 Charles St)

Site: Brockville General Hospital – 75 Charles

Hours: Continental Rotation – 0700‑1900/1900‑0700

Payrate: $22.74/hour

Overtime Method: ON‑Averaging Agreement OT over 88 hours

As a Security Guard you will be responsible for completing investigations and incident reports. You will perform consistent patrols and interact with the public to provide good customer service and keep the clients and visitors safe.

• Complete incident reporting and end‑of‑shift reports
• Supervise and monitor guests, staff, and patients to ensure a proactive approach to incidents

• Valid Ontario Security Guard license
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C certificate (from a WSIB‑approved provider)
• Ability to be clean‑shaven to pass an N95 mask fit test
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• Completed immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and tuberculosis required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR‑V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

• Minimum 3 years security experience required, or 1 year of demonstrated security supervision experience
• Demonstrates superior customer service skills and ability to work independently
• Fluency in English (verbal/written) required;
  French considered an asset
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (extensive patrolling, restraints, etc.)
• 6+ months previous security experience preferred
• Previous healthcare/healthcare security experience considered an asset
• Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to ensure they meet the position requirements. The training is not paid but Paladin will cover all costs with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
