Healthcare Security Guard Full-Time- IPS

Hours:
Sunday, Saturday 08:00-20:00
Overtime Method:
Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Job Responsibilities
Maintain a professional and visible security presenceGreet, assist, and direct patients, visitors, and staffProtect clients, staff, buildings, and assetsWork independently and collaborativelyConduct interior and exterior patrolsRespond to emergencies and support code responsesDocument and report incidents; conduct investigations as requiredPerform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-lawsManage access control, keys, and parking enforcementAssist with monthly safety inspections and other assigned dutiesJob Requirements
Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB-approved provider)Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testingProof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB (Step 1 &
2)How to obtain records: KHSC Immunization Forms requiredFull MMR-V immunization must be completed prior to hireAbility to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (completed during onboarding)Minimum 6 months of security experience (healthcare preferred but not required)Full-time availability with a minimum 6-month commitmentStrong English communication skills;
French an assetMinimum 6 months customer service experience preferredMust provide Stay Safe certificationsApplicants without these may complete Paladin’s Stay Safe program prior to onboarding
