Become part of the Alma Mater Society as Event Staff in Kingston, Ontario. This role involves crowd control and customer service at various campus events to ensure student safety.
Alma Mater Society (AMS) seeks enthusiastic Event Staff to support numerous university events. This position requires strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress situations. Event staff will carry out crowd management while ensuring adherence to AMS guidelines and promoting a safe, friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform crowd control measures at events
• Attend Smart Serve training sessions and apply skills
• Maintain professionalism during incidents and sensitive situations
• Greet patrons actively when entering venues
• Complete all assigned duties with attention and care
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Security Guard license for advancement
• First Aid and Smart Serve certifications
• Experience managing stressful situations calmly
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
