AMS Event Safety

Position: AMS Event Safety Staff
Support the Alma Mater Society as part of the event safety staff in Kingston, Ontario. Engage in proactive crowd management while fostering a welcoming environment at campus events.

Alma Mater Society is seeking dedicated individuals to join their safety team at university events. Staff will be tasked with ensuring student safety through effective crowd control and verbal intervention techniques. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a commitment to uphold AMS policies and provide the best experience for attendees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement crowd control strategies effectively

• Attend required Smart Serve training and apply practices

• Handle sensitive situations calmly and professionally

• Welcome all patrons entering events with friendliness

• Ensure confidentiality while managing incident reports

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard license to advance

• Hold First Aid and Smart Serve certifications

• Capacity to act discreetly and handle stress

• Available for significant event dates throughout the school year

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
