Security Guard Float Pool - KHSC

Become a part of the Float Pool at Kingston Health Sciences Centre as a Healthcare Security Guard. Ensure safety and support for patients and staff while working across various hospital locations.

The role involves providing a professional security presence while assisting patients and visitors at both Kingston General Hospital and Providence Care Hospital. Responsibilities include patrols, emergency response, and managing access control. Prior security experience in healthcare is an asset, enhancing the safety and stability of the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and guide patients and visitors effectively

• Conduct thorough interior and exterior patrols

• Manage access control and enforce compliance

• Document incidents and respond to emergencies

• Assist with safety inspections and other assigned tasks

Requirements:

• Current Ontario Security Guard License needed

• Six months of security experience preferred

• Strong English communication skills required

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

• Immunization records and COVID-19 vaccination proof required
