Maintain a professional and visible security presenceGreet, assist, and direct patients, visitors, and staffProtect clients, staff, buildings, and assetsWork independently and collaborativelyConduct interior and exterior patrolsRespond to emergencies and support code responsesDocument and report incidents; conduct investigations as requiredPerform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-lawsManage access control, keys, and parking enforcementAssist with monthly safety inspections and other assigned dutiesJob Requirements
Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB-approved provider)Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testingProof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB (Step 1 &
2)How to obtain records: Immunization Form: KHSC Immunization FormsAbility to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (completed during onboarding)Minimum 6 months of security experience (healthcare preferred but not required)Full-time availability with a minimum 6-month commitmentStrong English communication skills (oral/written)Minimum 6 months customer service experience preferredMust provide Stay Safe certificationsApplicants without these may complete Paladin’s Stay Safe program prior to onboarding
Training is unpaid as it is a prerequisite;
Paladin covers all costs with a 6-month commitmentMust be legally authorized to work in CanadaCertification Requirements (All)
First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
Immunization Record for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella and two step TB skin test
