Volunteer Firefighter Fire and Rescue

Become a Volunteer Firefighter with Kingston Fire and Rescue. Join a dedicated team committed to community safety, participating actively in emergency response, firefighting, and public education initiatives.

Kingston Fire and Rescue is recruiting up to 15 Volunteer Firefighters for various stations in the area. Ideal candidates are physically fit and have the ability to respond to emergencies, including firefighting, medical assistance, and hazardous material incidents. You will undergo substantial training to ensure excellence and preparedness in diverse emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergencies in assigned areas

• Maintain fire station equipment and tools

• Promote fire safety through community outreach

• Attend mandatory training sessions regularly

• Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license

• Experience in firefighting or medical response is a plus

• Willingness to commit to training requirements

• Ability to work under pressure and in different weather conditions
