Casual Respite Worker

Maltby Centre is seeking a dedicated Respite Worker to deliver individualized therapeutic care tailored to children and youth aged 2 to 17. This role collaborates with the Program Manager to craft personalized respite plans that enhance engagement through educational and recreational activities. Offering flexible hours, this position lacks a set schedule and requires a compassionate approach to care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop customized respite plans with the Program Manager

• Assist children in daily living activities effectively

• Maintain communication with families and program staff

• Provide respite support in home, community, and center settings

• Engage clients in varied social and recreational activities

Requirements:

• High School Diploma with relevant post-secondary studies

• Experience in child and youth work or related fields

• Certification in FA/CPR and NVCI preferred

• Bilingual (French) skills are an asset

• Commitment to equity and inclusive practices
