Position: KEYS Resettlement Advisor Role
Join KEYS as a Resettlement Advisor, offering essential support to refugees in Kingston starting September 28th, 2026. Help newcomers navigate their first months in Canada successfully.

As a vital member of the Refugee and Newcomer Services Team, you will provide culturally-relevant support and guidance to refugees, ensuring they access necessary resources and understand their rights and responsibilities in Canada. This role involves close collaboration with community service providers and proactive engagement with clients to foster successful transitions into housing and local life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build personalized resettlement and integration plans for clients

• Facilitate group sessions on important topics like budgeting and health

• Offer solution-focused counseling to address client needs

• Refer clients to appropriate community programs and services

• Document client interactions and services provided accurately

Requirements:

• Familiarity with government and community services for refugees

• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards clients

• Background in social work or related field preferred

• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively

• Commitment to ethical and professional standards
