Daltco Electric is Eastern Ontario’s largest independent electrical automation and lighting distributor. Daltco Electric serves the industrial, residential, and commercial marketplace from its three locations in Kingston, Brockville and Ottawa.
We are searching for an energetic, focused and dedicated team player to join us as a Warehouse/ Counter Associate Associate in our Kingston Location.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate would join the Warehouse team and is responsible for the following:
- Prepares and packs orders for shipping with attention to customer priorities and appropriate time-lines, and double checks all picked orders for accuracy of material
- Work with freight providers for all inbound and outbound logistic requirements
- Assists with receiving tasks, verifies stock and places material in appropriate locations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Foster an environment where teamwork and inclusivity is prioritized
- Assists Customers by answering queries relating to their order status, changes and delivery time frames
- Assist in the physical inventory count
- All other duties required or assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Electrical background or post-secondary education in a related Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist program considered an asset
- 2+ years experience in B2B warehouse operations including shipping/receiving
- 2+ years fork truck experience
- 2+ years customer service experience
- Excellent written & oral communication
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical labour required, lifting and loading (Ability to lift 50+ lbs)
