About the Role and our Ideal Candidate About the role

The role is multi disciplined, dynamic and never dull, it will suit individuals who are willing to push their boundaries, develop new skills and abilities to enhance the resilience of residents, communities and businesses in Kingston.

The post holder will work across the council and with external partners to enhance community health, safety and reduce crime. They will assist with a number of transformational projects and provide specialist advice to internal and external strategic partners to support resilience planning.

About Us

The role reports directly to the Resilience Support Officer and will support all members of the Resilience Planning Team (4 staff in total) and assist with all aspects of emergency preparedness, response, resilience and management of the following work areas:

  • Emergency preparedness, response and recovery
  • Business Continuity
  • Public realm / Community Safety CCTV
  • Event applications and Safety Advisory Group
  • River Safety Forum

You will be joining an award winning team, who were recognised with a Community Award by the High Sheriff of Greater London for the team’s outstanding coordination work in relation to the borough’s Covid-19 response.
