Wayman Education is looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm inclusive and supportive Primary School in Kingston.

This is a long-term position working closely with a pupil who has additional learning needs and may sometimes present challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be patient empathetic and passionate about helping children thrive academically and emotionally.

• Provide 1 : 1 support to a pupil with special educational needs ensuring they feel included engaged and confident in lessons.
• Build positive trusting relationships to promote independence and progress.
• Assist the class teacher with day-to-day activities helping to maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment.
• Understand and respond to a range of needs from mild to complex.
• Follow detailed EHCPs and collaborate closely with the SENCO and wider school team.
• Work flexibly across EYFS to KS2 as needed.

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
• A calm patient and compassionate approach with strong relationship-building skills.
• The right to work in the UK .
• A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional references.
