We are seeking an outstanding and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in the attractive Surbiton area of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. What You'll Be Doing

This full-time role requires deep subject expertise and a passion for teaching the principles of the universe, ensuring exceptional outcomes from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Instruction:
    Deliver challenging and high-quality lessons in Physics to students from Key Stage 3 (KS3) through to A-Level (KS5).
  • Practical Excellence:
    Plan and conduct engaging practical laboratory work safely and effectively, fostering essential inquiry and data analysis skills.
  • Attainment Focus:
    Thoroughly prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, aiming for top grades and supporting university aspirations in STEM fields.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with the wider Science department to share best practices, develop resources, and promote a culture of scientific excellence across the school.
Candidate Profile:
What We're Looking For

We require a Physics specialist who is dedicated to student success and thrives in an environment focused on high academic standards.

Essential Requirements
  • Qualification:

    A degree in Physics or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Certification:
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification (PGCE).
  • Experience:

    Proven success teaching Physics at the secondary level, with strong competence teaching to A-Level.
  • Skills:

    Excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and exemplary classroom management, especially within a laboratory setting.
