About the role/school

Teach Plus are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to join a warm, community-focused primary school in Chessington starting in March 2026. This nurturing school has a strong values-led ethos and provides a supportive environment where both pupils and staff thrive.

The school delivers a broad and balanced curriculum, encouraging children to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. This is a fantastic opportunity for Primary Teaching Assistants looking for either full-time consistency or ad-hoc flexibility within a welcoming school community.

Job Responsibilities

As Primary Teaching Assistants, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support pupils' learning

Help create a positive, nurturing classroom environment

Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's values and policies

Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation

Build strong, professional relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Qualifications/Experience

The ideal Primary Teaching Assistants will have:

Previous experience working within a primary school setting (desirable)

A nurturing and patient approach to supporting children

Strong communication and teamwork skills

The ability to adapt and work across different year groups where required

A commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding

Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

Right to work in the UK
