Role OverviewThe Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is now seeking a Vocational Skills Assessor to facilitate the effective and efficient practical and online assessment of learners as well as the development of their commercial, employability and enterprise skills.
ResponsibilitiesYou will assess learners on a variety of programmes across the School which may include Level 1, 2 and Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, Customer Service & Work skills, providing prompt and constructive feedback after the assessment. You will ensure a strong client base in the Commercial salons, ensuring income targets are met and undertake assessments in the College salons and other practical areas, maintaining a professional, safe and secure environment.
QualificationsHold professional qualifications with a reputed awarding body, recognised TDLB Assessor Awards (D32, D33) or TDLB new A1 Award for Assessors and an IV Award. With recent experience within the beauty therapy industry either through a professional development file (CPD) or recent salon experience, you will be qualified to at least Level 3 in Beauty Therapy. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, good IT skills (or willingness to gain these) and the ability to support, motivate and empathise with young learners, including monitoring their progress.
