Position Overview:The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Biology curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and a passion for exploring the natural world.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver captivating Biology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
- Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Biology education.
Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology or a closely related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Biology at the secondary level.
- A passion for Biology and the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies.
