Sessional Lecturer - Business (Creative)

Kingston College 28/06/2026 £ 41.32 - £49.71 per hour

Please note that this post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026.

The Creative Business Studies programmes at Kingston College offer students a unique blend of a vocational BTEC in a creative subject alongside an A Level in Business Studies. This combination attracts high-achieving applicants and mirrors the entrepreneurial spirit of the creative industries.

The Creative Industries School is now seeking a Lecturer to deliver engaging and relevant skills and knowledge in line with the Pearson A Level Business Studies curriculum. You’ll produce schemes of work, monitor their delivery, supervise assessment, provide internal verification and liaise with external verifiers/moderators as required.

As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications in a relevant subject area. You’ll hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have teaching experience, preferably within the Further Education Sector, and be recognised as a good or outstanding teacher.

Our ideal candidate will be dynamic, proactive, and highly organised, with prior teaching experience in A Level Business Studies.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.

There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme.
The benefits package is pro-rated for part time staff.

South Thames Colleges Group is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

As outlined in the Public Sector Equality Duty of the Equality Act 2010, we are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships. As part of our due diligence checks on prospective employees, successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

We are looking for hard-working and collaborative people who can join our team and help challenge our students to progress and achieve.
