Behaviour Mentors – Full‑time

Pay: £80 – £95 per day

Provide 1‑to‑1 and small‑group support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Work with students attending the pupil referral unit who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings, helping them to improve emotional well‑being and learning progress.

Ideal candidates have a background in youth work or sports coaching. You should maintain high expectations, demonstrate a positive and resilient approach, build relationships, and de‑escalate challenging situations.

Short‑term contract commencing September 2026. This is a temporary, contract‑based position.

This specialist school supports children aged 5 to 16 with SEMH as their main need. It accepts pupils from surrounding mainstream schools who cannot access learning due to their needs, providing families with solution‑focused strategies to manage behaviour and learning progress. The school has an established, dedicated leadership team and offers training and development opportunities for all staff.
