We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and highly supportive specialist setting, where you will play a vital role in helping pupils with complex learning needs achieve their full potential. This opportunity is within a well-established specialist school in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, catering for pupils aged 2-19 with a range of complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, speech and language needs, and associated medical needs. This SEN Teacher role would suit a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering engaging, personalised learning experiences and working closely with therapists, support staff, and families.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress and development.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through staff meetings, training, and curriculum development.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
  • Experience as a SEN Teacher or in a similar role
  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
